Ashkahn’s signature neon envelopes are hard to miss and reveal his bright environs in sunny SoCal. Even harder to miss is his biting and unguarded sense of humor. If you have a sensitive sense of humor, I do not recommend you visit his vibrant site to see more of his punch. But, for the rest of you, enjoy his exuberant designs.

• Where did the name of your studio come from?

  I have a hard time sticking with a brand name so I just used my first name.

• Who is on your team, and how did you come together?

  Roxanne and Mary are amazing. I've known Roxanne for a while and when a position came up in the company, I posted it on Facebook and she replied. Mary contacted me a few years ago about interning and she worked her way up.

• How did you get into design and letterpress printing?

  I've been doing design forever. Letterpress printing is a newfound love of mine because of how beautiful the design look pressed into the paper. There is nothing like it.

• Where do you find inspiration for your designs?

  EVERYWHERE

• What kind of press(es) do you use?

  The cards are printed on a Vanderbilt.

• Which press was used to print the Nicely Noted cards?

  The same Vanderbilt!
