A Year of Boxes Review – September 2015

Nicely Noted stationery subscription service

I’ve become a stationery snob within the last 5 months and I blame it on Nicely Noted. But that’s ok because at least I can admit it. I see regular greeting cards and just can’t bring myself to purchase them or use them (I have a few regular cards left in my collection). Why would I want to use one of those when I have my beautiful little Nicely Noted cards just waiting to be written on. I just adore these cards and LOVE having them on hand.

If you aren’t familiar with Nicely Noted it is a monthly letterpress subscription service. Every month they send you a package with 3 cards and stamps to mail them.

Wild Monster by Anemone Letterpress – Something about this card just makes me think of [my nephew] and that’s what cards are all about. It’s not what I like, it’s what would be most appropriate for the receiver.

U Are Magnetic by Power & Light Press – Each month we receive a card that makes me think, and I love it. What would be the most appropriate occasion for this card, and does it have multiple uses? Again, the color/style aren’t as fun as some of the other cards I’ve received from Nicely Noted but the saying is cute and it will be perfect for someone in my life.

Merck by Ink Meets Paper – This is simple and to the point and I like having cards like this on hand. Sometimes you just need a simple (but pretty) thank you card for that friend or family member who makes your life easier.

Thoughts: I need a variety of colors and styles in my card collection so these will be a great addition. I’m noticing that we always received some sort of “thank you” themed card which I actually really like because it’s good practice to say thank you to someone in your life at least once a month (everyday is even better). It would be nice to take time once a month to actually sit down and write a little note of gratitude to someone who deserves it. It’s for this reason (the little reminder) that I love Nicely Noted and always will. I definitely look forward to this subscription each month and would definitely recommend it.
